Choose to purchase my own wireless modem/router instead of paying the $5 a month to rent one. I have purchased 2 of these. The first, which was for myself, had a few problems with the intial set-up and connection with the isp, but was finally able to get that issue fixed and didn't have a problem with it since. The second, purchased for a friend and it too had issues with connecting to the isp. Whenever it had an issue, had to go in and reset the modem. Also, it wouldn't connect with all wireless equipment. I upgraded to broadband an took my modem to my friends and after a little difficulty, had it set-up for them and was able to wirelessly connect the other equipment with no problems.

Works great for me - no muss no fuss. Understand, I was coming from the "Dark Ages" of modems, so I may not be a fair judge, but mine works fine. Ethernet and wireless.

Works fine with Sonic.net Fusion ADSL2+ service in San Francisco.
You'll need to buy a splitter-filter. This costs $14 with tax at Radio Shack.
