Product Description
The 3Com OfficeConnect Cable/DSL Gateway lets small businesses and growing home or branch-office networks bring shared Internet connectivity to multiple users via industry-standard Ethernet. The gateway contains a four-port Ethernet/Fast Ethernet LAN switch, plus an Ethernet WAN port for connecting to an existing broadband modem. Robust IP addressing and authentication functions deliver router-like features but at attractive prices.The unit comes with preset defaults, setup wizards, automatic upgrade capabilities, and other features that simplify installation, configuration, and administration for nontechnical users. Security features include VPN pass-through, hacker pattern detection, and virtual DMZ capability.
