Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cisco CISCO881-K9 880 Series Ethernet Router (Personal Computers)
I am very happy with this product, we are using these to create VPN remote offices. i have to say Cisco support is just awesome; if you have any issue you can call them and they will help until it is working for you. awesome product!
Not recommended for any home networking as it is much more powerful that the needs at a consumer level and as such requires command prompt style knowledge of how to configure.

Don't Buy A Cisco Router From Amazon,
July 15, 2009 J. Milligan - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cisco CISCO881-K9 880 Series Ethernet Router (Personal Computers)
We bought this unit and encountered a firmware bug with it right out
of the box. The unit had to be rebooted every 24 hours to prevent it
from crashing. We have a very simple configuration, so it's hard to
imagine how this could happen.
Cisco identified an IOS bug and sent us a link to new firmware.
However, we were unable to download the new firmware because the
service contract on the router was in Amazon's name instead of our
name. Amazon was unable to assign the service contract to us, so we
had no choice but returning the router.
Overall, a very poor experience with both Cisco and Amazon.

If getting a network device without software and documentation makes sense to you then this is the router for you. I had to open 4 service calls on this router just to get the software for this router. After two weeks Cisco determine the Wan port was bad. Spent several whole days with Cisco on the phone. Worst experence ever with a product. Cisco support seems to know very little about this router. FYI The 881 is not SDM compatible. Plus the 881 has larger form factor then the 871. If you are lonely and need someone to talk to buy this router.
