It's hard to get too picky about a router that costs around $30. It does a great job of taking your internet signal and broadcasting it to your house. It doesn't have the best range I've ever seen, it may not have advanced features like wireless printing, but it gets the internet to you anywhere in your house, and it has the basic features of a decent router like encryption and a nice web interface for setup. If you are looking for more, then go ahead and spend $100 and get a more full featured router, but I would say that for 95% of consumers, this router is perfectly fine. Wireless data transfer speeds for me were great, just as fast as my $180 Apple Airport Extreme. Don't listen to the haters, they are like the guys who buy a Kia and complain about poor 0-60 times. You get what you pay for but sometimes you don't need to buy the best of something to get good results. I have already recommended this affordable yet good quality router to several friends, and they've all been happy...Read more

I set up this router in about five minutes. Plugged it in, set it up with the included CD on my desktop, then installed the software on my laptop with the CD and I was good to go. Range is good, no issues in my house, the laptop works out in the backyard, no problem. This router is by far the easiest to set up that I've ever seen. I've been using it almost a month now and have experienced no problems. Highly recommended.

...not to mention my fundamental suspicion about of products labeled as "reconditioned (on the box) or "recertified" (on the Amazon listing)...especially when the manufacturer provides no information on what this means to the consumer.

I've been using wireless networking products for nine years, and remember well the pain that first generation 802.11 products inflicted on users. Happily, those days are gone. Even with the reservations I have about this product, it delivered basic wired and wireless connectivity out of the box within a minute of beginning the setup...a far cry from what the first 802.11 offered in 2002.

However, nagging deficiencies in the overall user experience of this router make it less than ideal for those with expansive connectivity needs (and especially if you use multiple wired ports on a daily basis). So while I'm not ready to turn over my regular heavy lifting networking chores to this router, I will retain it as a spare should my long...Read more
