Comment: We've been using it for almost a year now and I'm still pretty happy with it. Pretty much our entire house is connected to the internet and it's all thanks to this little router. We have four computers, five/six videogames systems (three handhelds and two consoles, three consoles if you count the system connected to the router with an ethernet cable), an MP3 player and a smartphone connected to the router. For the most part they all work fine with the exception of one of the computers (a macbook5,2). I don't know why the macbooks internet is nearly dial-up speed (we subscribe to a cable service). It's my brothers and he's too lazy to take it to the genius bar. His loss. That's why it gets four stars instead of five. Other than that, it required a little bit of luck to set up. But lucky me, I only had to set it up once. Any other problems I run into, I blame on the computers. Like when my friend was connecting his laptop to the router, Windows Vista pretty much took it over and changed around it's settings. But once we connect anything too the router it works spot on every time afterward.

Comment: This product quickly deteriorates. I had to reset it about 3-4 times a day. It slowed my internet connection WAY down. And then it just stopped working all together. I would highly NOT recommend this product.

Summary: Complete trash. 2010-07-31
Comment: So my 5 year old Linksys finally went out, and I needed a replacement pronto. Saw this at Walmart for $[...], and said why not. I took it home, had to install some stupid software, but that's fine. In fact the thing worked fine all day. The next day the strength and bandwidth of the WIFI had dropped from full bars and 6Mbps+ to half bars and less than 1Mbps in the same spot, and would barely connect and stay connected. I'm pretty tech saavy so I went to the config tool and reset the security type, adjusted the wireless channel and wireless mode. It worked great for the rest of the evening. Couple hours later the same thing started happening again, plus the entire connection would just drop out. Sometimes there would be an orange light on the unit, indicating something's wrong. Now I've had to unplug and replug it 3 times. This thing is crap. I never had to do this with my old Linksys, I'm taking this back today!

Comment: it started out great set up easy then in about two weeks it couldn't find my router so I reset it and then it worked fine about another week then it couldn't find my router so i though well maybe it is my router even though it said it was fine i reset it then hooked it directly into my Ethernet port and the internet worked fine we went through this for about 4 and a half months and then last night it crapped out for the last time I got tired of it and feed it to my dog as a squeaky toy
this thing is a piece of junk i will never buy another belkin product as long as i live beware it is worth it to pay an extra ten dollars in this case at Walmart

Comment: The Newer Modems made for ISP carriers contain battery backups which need removed to power off the modem something not noted by the belkin install guide. the battery is not mentioned in the fix feature either. this omission can cause allot of aggravation once you figure out what is missing from the poorly written guide the router works great.
