Summary: Just what the doctor ordered. 2010-03-10
Comment: My netgxxx gigabit router fried on me a few days ago (a problem with that particular model) This Belkin N+ was the least expensive gigabit N router I could find at retailer since I needed it right away.

-The CD setup was VERY EASY and fast too. I think I was up running in ten minutes.
-The lights on the front are nice. I just noticed my internet down, and the blue "globe" light was flashing. A reboot of the modem fixed the internet.
-The throughput is FAST (as fast or faster than my old gigabit router)
-It is 3 weeks and no router reboot yet.
-It works with our WII out of the box

The only negative is the CD setup leaves your login connection open and logged in without a password. I had to go to 192.168.X.X and set an admin password to secure it. Interface was pretty simple to figure out.

Comment: Had to return the device after a week.
After spending days off and on with Belkin Tech's, their conclusion was a defective unit.
The device after 6 to 8 hours would drop the internet connection and the wireless never did work correctly. Had to go through the entire setup again to get it to work for another 6 to 8 hours.
The device does have an easy setup, but it appears they have a way to go with their hardware and/or software.

Comment: Network: ROGERS Hi-Speed(Canada)

I went from a D-Link router to this one and have nothing but praises for its ease of set-up, speed and reliability. I have had no issues with any of my components jacking into my home network. Speed is great for everything (online gaming, Skype, file-sharing, media streaming...).

My guests and family who have WiFi-enabled gadgets are easily able to jack into my network (once they have the security key, that is).

Excellent choice for a home network.

Summary: HORRIBLE SUPPORT 2010-03-09
Comment: I'm not one of those people who automatically give Indian call centers a bad rap. Often I've found them to be very capable but in this case, I am extremely disappointed. At least 5-10 times a day, I lose internet connectivity with this router (without any interference issues). Moreover, I have never been able to create a consistent network with the other computers and devices in my home. Finally, I decided to call Belkin tech support today. In essence, their solution re: connectivity was to change the "channel" on the router -- this failed to correct the problem. As for the networking issue, they told me they would research the issue and call me back. Four hours later I received a call telling me to contact Microsoft and/or Mac! I am 100% serious. I was told that as long as I could connect to the internet, there were no further issues Belkin was willing to help me with. So, there you have it -- no support for networking difficulties.

Summary: CRAP! don't get this! 2010-03-06
Comment: I've had this router for about 2 months now and it is getting replaced. It is a giant pain to set up and if it disconnects from the Internet you have to restart it repeatedly to get it to re-connect. I spent hours talking with their tech support (who is located in India and not the easiest to understand) for them to tell me to reset it... reset it... reset it... hmmm... I think I did that before I called. The wireless security would only work on 64bit, anything higher and it would lock up the router. Also, there was no way to update the firmware (it wouldn't allow it).
