Compatible with 802.11n Draft 2.0 for Incredible Performance
Using the latest, 802.11n Draft 2.0 technology, the N+ router offers outstanding range thanks to smart MIMO (multiple-input and multiple-output) technology. This router offers enough range to easily cover most homes or office spaces.

With data throughput of up to 300 Mbps, the N+ Router can handle media-intensive applications that take up large amounts of your bandwidth. The router will easily handle high-demand network activity such as streaming music and HD video, playing games online, downloading large files, and making Internet phone calls, all without hiccups or slowdowns.

If even this isn't fast enough, the N+ router also has four gigabit Ethernet ports for ultra-fast wired connections.

Backwards Compatibility for Ultra Convenience
The N+ router is backwards compatible with all Wireless-G and 802.11b networks and devices, which means that you can continue to use your current computers and peripherals that are on the older standards.

Keep Your Network Safe and Private
With support for Wi-Fi Protected Security, you can ensure that your wireless network is safe and secure with a single button push. In addition to Wi-Fi Protected Security, the N+ router also supports 256-bit WPA/WPA2-Personal, and 64-bit and 128-bit WEP encryption to ensure that your data is protected.

Easily Share Storage with Your Whole Network
The router features a USB port that allows you to connect a USB storage device, such as a hard drive or thumb drive, and share its contents with all the computers on the network. With an attached storage device, you can store music, videos, and photos in a central location for everyone on the network to share and access.

Elegant, Informative Design
Featuring an elegant and smart vertical design, the N+ Router saves space and looks good on your desk. LED icons let you know at a glance the status of the connection, if security is enabled, if USB storage is being accessed, and other useful information. There's also a "Download Speedmeter" Bar of LEDs that constantly measures the download speed of your network.

The Belkin N+ Router is backed by a 1-year warranty and includes free 24/7 technical support.

Summary: Lot's of hype, little to show for it! :-( 2010-08-23
Comment: First off let me make it clear that each person's environment is different and will effect how a wireless router will perform. With that said I tried different wireless routers, each was used for at least a week. I wanted to make sure that each router was used over a period of time to be fair.
Plain and simple, this wireless router preformed badly. To the point that it really wasn't useable. I have AT&T DSL and ended up using a combined modem/wireless router (it does not have 802.11 N).

Summary: Works well! 2010-08-23
Comment: I had some trouble setting the router up, but with twenty-four hour tech support I finally got it working. (I'm tech challenged) It's fast, works well with Netflix and has all the range I need for my lap top.

Summary: Not a stellar performer 2010-08-23
Comment: I'd read the other reviews before purchasing, but had such good luck with other Belkin products over the years, "assumed" this would just have to be a great product too.

This is not the 1st wireless router we've had. Our most recent was a Linksys Simultaneous Dual-N Router - WRT610N. Unfortunately, it wasn't grounded properly and took a hit by a nearby lightening strike. I wasn't worried though - there were definitely places in the house where I was unable to get a signal (mostly where I would normally sit). So was excited when the Belkin reviews over and over were all about its amazing 'range'. CNET had glowing recommendations of the product.

The Good: range on the Belkin is really amazing, actually. All the places I would normally sit and, at best, get a Fair signal from the Linksys - I get an Excellent signal from the Belkin. I really appreciate this attribute of the product.

The Bad: where shall I start?
* When laptops are first powered up or are brought up after being 'asleep', it takes a lot time for signal to be re-established. We have 4 laptops in our home, and experience this on all of them.
* Fairly complicated programming. Yes, it seems to work perfectly right out of the box - very easy set-up. Problem is that part of the default programming is to shut a 'sleeping' laptop out of the system overnight each night. The only fix we were able to find was to re-start the router. Until we finally figured out how to change the programming.
*After bringing a 'sleeping' laptop back up - even a wired laptop, we often get errors saying there are duplicate IPs on the network.
* Router loses connection fairly regularly. We have to re-start it probably every 2nd or 3rd day. Frequently I can't even access router's IP address from my computer. We walk upstairs and unplug it.
* Does not act as a print server. When I saw the ports in the back, I 'assumed' the router would look at the printer as just another attachment (like the Linksys did). I was wrong.
* Does not 'see' our 2GB external hard drive we were using as storage. The only 'fix' to this appears to be to manually make a wired connection to the hard drive and copy and paste from laptop to hard drive from time to time.

Since range was my original complaint from the Linksys, I would say that the Belkin definitely relieves that problem. However, we now have a whole host of problems we never had with the Linksys.

I'm already looking for another router.

Summary: Locks up at least once a day! 2010-08-20
Comment: Title says it all! I upgraded my home network and computers to gigabit and that worked great except for the lockups. Tried using it as an access point only, and same thing. The lock up/reliability issue brought the rating way down to 1 star, else I'd have given it 4 stars (no problems with set up, etc, NAS seemed a little slow, but I never timed any transfer rates). I never even used the 802.11n, all of my computers only go up to (g).

Also, my previous router, a Belkin Wireless N router was a little better, but still requires restarting/rebooting every other day or two.

I will never recommend a Belkin router to anyone!

Summary: Poor range 2010-08-19
Comment: I purchased this router in an attempt to get increased range in my home. My cable modem is on the second floor and my xbox and blue ray player are in my basement home theater. I wanted to stream video from netflix, and my b/g router was not cutting it. I saw a Cnet review that boasted great range on this N router. I have N network adapters on the xbox, so I figured I would give it a try. The range on this router is actually worse that my Linksys b/g router. So if increaed range is what you want this is not the item. I did then learn about powerline network adapters. I purchased a set from Netgear and this works great! If you need better range in your house I would suggest that you check out this product and skip the wireless.
