The dir825 product is very good once up and running, with good speed and coverage and seems pretty solid. It is effectively two wifi devices in one, one on 802.11a/n, one on 802.11b/g/n, so you can get all your laptops which do 11a onto the 5GHz band freeing up 2.4GHz for handheld devices.
It is a little bit complex to configure to get the best out of it, but mainly all you need to do is set the WPA pass phrases on the wifi and the admin password for the router itself.
One downside is that if you want to set static routes, you can only do so for the outbound/WAN interface, and not for the LAN. I encountered this in a small office where there was a VPN appliance on the LAN, and I needed to remotely admin the DIR825. Dlink said that if you want full control of static routes then you should buy the professional/corporate models.
