Summary: Mid-Grade router 2008-10-22
Comment: The router itself is an easy setup, and works fine. However, I purchased this router in an attemp to obtain greater wireless range within my home, and it did not perform any better than my OLD Linsys WRT54G. Matter of fact I would recommend to those of you serious about wireless capabilities to find an old Linksys and then visit dd-wrt's web site. You will save some $$ and get a MUCH better router.

Summary: This is a great Router at a great price. 2008-09-04
Comment: This is the routher is easy to setup. I am not a computer or network expert and it only took me 30 min to have everything up and running. The range is excelent and this router seems to run cooler than others I have used. I bought htis to replace a router that got fried in a thunder storm. The price from amazon was great and the delivery was in excelent time even though I used super-saver shipping.

Summary: Reliable, powerfull, and upgradeable 2008-07-27
Comment: I love the Hawking product line as I have been using their antenna boosters for years. It's only recently that Hawking came out with the HWRGM1A HiGain MMO G Router, so I was a little nervous to be the first to purchase this router before seeing any reviews, but I went ahead and took the risk anyways as I had high hopes for better reception and reliability than the Linksys or Netgear routers I've owned in the past. This thing is slightly larger than other routers but thats due to the better curved top design for cooling and air flow. I've seen other routers die due to overheating when people set things on top of their routers, so the rounded top helps to discourage people from putting things on it. The antennas are removable which is nice if you plan on, or want to be able to add one or more of Hawking's antenna boosters to it. Configuration and setup was very simple and straight forward, I didn't even need the setup CD to configure it. I didn't need to add any antenna boosters to it, as I got full signal strength throughout my 2000 sq ft single story house. The router has been working perfectly for a month now; and even with the unreliable power here in California, the router doesn't lockup when the electricity flickers, like the other routers used to do.
