I'm the second. I've owned many Linksys routers and wireless access points, as well as hubs. This is my favorite so far. It doesn't get released in stores until late summer/early fall 2009. The gentlemen before me wrote about how it's not compatible with Vonage. That's true. BECAUSE it's a VOIP router in itself. I know that it's used by a company called Elevate Comm that launches in April (a month from now). That's how I got it. Great router, great price, easy to use and setup, as well as great range. I use it it my house, which is 12000 square feet, and I get signal everywhere. Which is better than I can say about my netgear routers. I found it odd that Linksys customer support (who spent a significant amount of time trying to help me with the problem) was not aware of this. So, I hope this will help prevent others from making the same mistake and having to return the router, as I did. The manufacturer commented on this review(What's this?) Posted on Jul 25, 2011 4:22:11 PM PDT Hi N. Mckiernan, Sorry to hear about your experience! We looked into the compatibility issue you mention, and it appears only Vonage-branded equipment works with the Vonage service. Thanks for your comments! I will never buy Linksys again. |
