Cisco-Linksys WRT54GL Wireless-G Broadband Router (Compatible with Linux)
Comment: The router was easy to configure using the setup wizard, at least for basic configuration. If you want to go beyond that, you're pretty much on your own because there is no documentation provided with the device. The wireless range is plenty for the house I live in, and had no problem connecting to it with my HP laptop. However, two of the four switch ports don't work.

Summary: Good Value 2010-08-30
Comment: I'm no geek. The only tomato I'm familiar with is on a sandwich. I had the router installed and running in 15 minutes. Strong signal all through a 2 story house. Four to five bars 225 ft. through two windows into another building. Buy it.

Summary: Failed after short time 2010-08-29
Comment: Worked well for a while then system slowed to a crawl. Removed router and everything was ok. I did not bother to try to get it to work. This is probably a solvable problem, but, I do not wish to spend the time to try. This may be a good product, but my experience with it was not good.

Summary: dd-wrt works great 2010-08-27
Comment: I've got 2 of these. Both have dd-wrt installed. One is connected to the DSL modem and the other is downstairs set-up as a wireless bridge repeater. Prior to adding the last one I relied on a d-link wireless router and ended up rebooting it and the dsl modem at least a few times a day. Now that I've eliminated the d-link router, I've had no issues whatsoever for the last 2 weeks.

Summary: Good, Reliable Product for the Money 2010-08-20
Comment: Product was quick and easy to install on both desk pc and notebooks. I have not had a problem with it during the month that I've had it in use. This is a good, reliable product for the money. Security is not as flexible as the SMC that this one replaced, but does seem adequate. As always, I did not have a problem with Amazon handling the sale. It arrived promptly and in great shape.
