Product Description
The Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router is three devices in one. The Wireless Access Point lets you connect both Wireless-G (802.11g at 54Mbps) and Wireless-B (802.11b at 11Mbps) devices to the network. There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to connect your wired-Ethernet devices together. Connect four PCs directly, or attach more hubs and switches to create as big a network as you need. The Router function ties it all together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection. All your computers can print on a shared printer connected anywhere in the house. Your computers can share all kinds of music, digital picture, and document files. The Wi-Fi Protected Setup feature makes it easy to configure your wireless devices. Just push the button on the Router and on your other Wi-Fi Protected Setup enabled wireless device to automatically create a WPA2 connection that protects your data and privacy with up to 256-bit industrial-strength encryption. The Router can serve as a DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall to protect your PCs against intruders and most known Internet attacks, supports VPN pass-through, and can be configured to filter internal users' access to the Internet. Advanced configuration is a snap with the web-browser-based interface. Summary: Perfect and compact 2008-08-15
Comment: The router is incredibly easy to set up and does most of the configuring for you. It also has no antennas to determine its place in a room. I have it on a very small shelf on top of my DVD player and it works perfectly. Essentially, it take up no space and runs very nicely. The speed is fine and the signal I have is always very strong (then again, i'm never more than 10' from it).

Summary: Great router, better than the original WRT54G 2008-08-15
Comment: Works really well, don't have a huge house, but the router gives a nice range, haven't had any problems anywhere in my house. I upgraded from the original blue WRT54G, which I loved, but think the G2 is a little better.

Summary: Great Router Great Price 2008-08-12
Comment: Bought this router for under $50. Unlike another reviewer this router worked with my older Speedstream 4100 modem. It took me less than 10 minutes to set it up. I currently have a desktop computer wired directly to it, an xbox 360 wirelessly hooked up, and I use it for wifi on my ipod touch. All work flawlessly. Great signal throughout my two story house and outside of my house too. Highly recommend it for anyone that wants to get a quality wireless network for little money.
