It works great. Everything has sped up. Everything. Uploads. Downloads. Streaming. All of it. I have 1 Windows computer, 3 Apple Macs, 1 Apple 2Gen AppleTV, PS3, a wireless printer, and a Wii. Not one problem now. Super easy to set up also. You will need to know your actual DSL SYSTEM password (not your eMail password) along with your complete eMail address. If you do not know what the real system password is, you will have to ask AT&T what it is. If you tell them you want to use another modem/router (other then the supplied 2Wire) to connect to their system, they most likely will not tell you YOUR password. So think about that, and take it from there... Tell them what you need too, to get YOUR system password. You pay for it remember. The DGN3500 has worked flawlessly. Not a DSL drop to be found. Not an internet drop either. Solid as a rock. My old 2Wire...Read more 14 of 14 people found the following review helpful: By Lewis B Ramsey (Houston, TX, US) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) Actually, I have had very few problems at all despite my complicated wired and wireless system. My home network consist of the DGN3500, Netgear WNDA3100 wireless for my notebook, WET610N Linksys for my wireless connection to my DirecTV HDDVR, and a USB to Gigabit Ethernet AX88178 adapter for my wired computer, plus wifi connection for my Iphone4. Everthing works. I used the DGN3500 as a direct replacement for the 2Wire of AT&T because of the greater bandwidth. I now stream HD content between my computer and my HDTV and vice-versa. I have a quad core AMD processor, I believe X4 820. Completely satisfied. 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful: By J. I am happy that I ordered it. The setup wizard is much easier than other wizards I've used. It shows you step by step pictures and has it written as well. It's like having someone next to you, helping you. I setup my desktop and 3 laptops within minutes... or at least it seemed that way. I downloaded my printer drivers and reinstalled them on all computers.
The nice thing about NetGear, that I have not seen with other vendors, is that when you open the desktop shortcut to view all the modem settings, it automatically checks to see if you have the latest firmware version. If you don't it can auto download it, but THEN (rather than your spending hours unzipping and installing it) it self installs and let's you know when it's done. Man, that was nice and easy. I would buy this router again and/or recommend it to a friend. Keep in mind that this router is for those that have DSL service. It is a combination of...Read more |
