The 6211 ADSL2+ endpoint, in compact form factor, has been successfully used for in-building deployments such as hotel/motel, temporary housing and dormitory-campus installations for high-speed Internet access (HSIA) and video-on-demand services. Residential CO-based deployments are also simplified with Paradyne industry-standard, high performance 6211 ADSL2+ endpoint. The endpoint offers cost-effective high performance residential and business class bridge/router endpoint for all data, video and voice services. The Paradyne 6211 ADSL2+ endpoint is easily self-installed. The embedded web user interface is designed to simplify ADSL deployment. The 6211 provides an ethernet connection that is auto-sensing, eliminating the worry about connection cable type (straight-through vs. crossover). The 6211 endpoint, when operating in router mode, supports DHCP Server/Relay/ Client, NAPT, as well as RIP, dynamic routing, port forwarding, static routing, and ping initiation. For security, the 6211 supports firewall functions including PAP (password access protocol) and CHAP (challenge handshake authentication protocol). Configuration and monitoring of the 6211 ADSL2+ endpoint is accomplished by accessing the embedded Web interface or via a Telnet session, using either in-band management or directly from the Ethernet port.
