I already have a cable modem wireless router and I planned to use this modem in a different room to eliminate radio interference there. Unfortunately, I found out that my cable company (Time Warner) does not allow subscribers to connect more than 1 modem at a time.

The modem worked fine for the first couple of weeks, but now likes to randomly reset itself. Sometimes it goes a few hours, sometimes it resets every 5 minutes. I guess I might just have a flaky one, but I still would advise paying a bit more for a trusted brand name modem as I'll be doing to replace this one. |
