SMC7904WBRA-N successfully replaced a TP-Link ADSL modem and a D-Link wireless router. In the previous configuration I used to get constantly disconnected for few seconds during the evening for no apparent reason. Of course, first thing I worried about was the provider. However, this is not true after installing SMC SMC7904WBRA-N .
I am writing this review because a month ago I spend some time trying to select a good wireless ADSL router .. not sure even what to look for in a router.
This one is faster, the voice quality on my 3 VOIP numbers is MUCH better, and it never disconnects.
Not easy to configure it though. I had to read the manual for that !
But once I start going over each option, it all come together well.

I have no idea what all those VOIP and networking acronyms stands for, and I don't even want to find out.
How inconsiderate is to sell a DIY configuration device, and leave the reader in a labyrinth of options

Sorry to say this was not a good experience; made all sorts of attempts to get this product and my system working, I have now returned it with the lost of so much time for a full refund. I hope that go's much better. JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD HAVE BEEN.
