GigaFast's Wireless Engine 711-AP is an IEEE802.11b compliant 11Mbps (Megabits per Second) Wireless Access Point. Once installed the WE711-AP has a range of 300m outdoors and 120m indoors. Operating in the 2.4GHz frequency range using DSSS (Direct Sequence Speed Spectrum) the GigaFast's Wireless Access Point is able to provide transparent bridging and roaming capabilities to any other wireless connections. The WE711-AP is complete with WEP (Wide Equivalent Privacy), user authentication, and MAC address control to ensure the security of the wireless network connections. Included with the WE711-AP is an advanced access point manager software that can be installed on Windows 98, 2000, NT4.0 and Windows ME. In addition to having software compatibility, the WE711-AP is also compatible with any other vendor's IEEE802.11b wireless Ethernet products.
